Ratings Review

It has been some time since the committee has conducted a thorough review of inactive paddlers' ratings. The committee intends to conduct such a review at the end of the 2002 paddling season and to follow the paddling group's policy in regard to ratings of inactive paddlers. (Refer to page 14 of In Flood.) Our policy provides that, to maintain your paddling skill level and your rating, a paddler must paddle with the NH AMC Paddlers on a river trip equal to their rating at least once every two years. A paddler who fails to meet this requirement will normally be reduced to the next lower rating. Members' comments regarding this policy are welcomed by the Rating Committee Chair.

Bruce Healey is taking over the position of Rating Committee Chair.
