Grand Canyon Paddlers Return

The morning of July 23 found us all early risers on a beach on Lake Mead. We had put in at Lee’s Ferry 16 days before and paddled and rafted the entire way down the Colorado River through the entire Marble Canyon and Grand Canyon.

We had 24 paddlers, 4 Tour West crew to man the two rafts, and a rescue kayaker. At Lee’s Ferry we loaded up the rafts, jumped in our boats, and immediately started paddling big class II rapids.
